Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Testing and preparation of products for eMarketing and Finished Goods Inventory;  follow customer material handling requirements; scan and record audit information for designated customers; maintain current on all training and processes for product testing and product identification. 



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Product preparation 

  • Testing of incoming assets for function, including but not limited to hard drives,  memory modules, monitors, personal computers, and peripheral devices. 

  • Cleaning as needed for the presentation, and destruction of failed hard drives 

  • Evaluation and repair of products having appropriate resale value to warrant it

Material handling 

  • Process material using Technology Conservation Group’s guidelines in line with  the provided work instructions 

  • Manage the handling of data containing devices with sensitive data and ensure  they are processed according to our data security policy and the customers’  

requirements 

Scan material and record specified information for designated customers 

  • Use a hand scanner to record information into a spreadsheet 

  • Visually discern and record required information into a spreadsheet 

  • Inventory material into a spreadsheet 

  • Attention to detail and 100% accuracy is a must  

Understand Technology Conservation Group’s QEHS processes and procedures Demonstrate Continuous effort to

  • Work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service

REQUIREMENTS:

  •  Frequently required to reach with hands and arms 

  •  Remain in a standing position for extended periods of time 

  • View a computer screen for extended periods of time 

  • Able to hear, see and talk 

  •  Hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information 

  • Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to  adjust focus 

  • Speaking abilities to frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas  accurately, loudly, or quickly 

  •  Repetitive motion movements using wrists, hands, and /or fingers 

  • Must be able to climb a ladder to locate parts in bins 

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds 

  • Must be able to pull and/or push up to 1000 pounds using a pallet jack 

  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 

  • Must use and /or wear required safety equipment at all times 

  • Knowledge of system hardware i.e.: modems, video cards, processors, memory, drive, etc. 

  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as familiarity with working on other  Microsoft Office products, Windows 7/10 Operating systems 

  • Past experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues 

  • Computer repair, maintaining a static-free workplace 

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload 

  • Team player with initiative and excellent interpersonal skills 

  • Flexible, adaptable, creative and results-oriented 

  • Understanding security concerns when using password-protected internet accounts and resources. 

  • High comfort level working with sensitive test equipment
