JOB SUMMARY: As a Class A Route Driver, you will be going out to main stores to pick up their used tires. You will be going out with a Route Helper, a team of 2. Both of you are responsible for manually loading and stacking these used tires onto the back of the trucks. Each tire can weigh up to 50 lbs. As a Class A Route Driver, you will be the main point of contact when servicing customers, for example obtaining signatures for the loads you are picking up. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination to pick up and deliver pre-loaded trailers (drops) to designated locations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor and trailer to ensure roadworthiness. Secure loads and ensure proper weight distribution to prevent shifting during transport.
