Flaggers are to control the flow of traffic around road construction sites. They erect warning and detour signs, position traffic cones and barricades, and inform the construction crew of any safety hazards.

Qualifications •Flaggers must work well alone and as a member of a team •Flaggers MUST be professional and courteous at all times •Must be alert at all times •Must be able to lift 30 lbs. •Recognize not to stand where you cannot be easily seen by motorists •Always stand while flagging/directing traffic •Use proper hand signals with STOP/SLOW paddle •Must be alert to properly escape if approached by an errant or non-attentive vehicle •Must have your certification card in your possession at all times while performing your duties •High visible apparel, such as a retro-reflective vest, shirt, or jacket (Provided) •Fully clothed – long pants at all times •Sign paddle (Provided) •Must be 18 years of age •Must have valid Federally Accepted identity •Must have ability to obtain a flagger certificate card (We will assist with this) Responsibilities •The Flagger will direct traffic for road construction crews •Flaggers will work alone or with other flaggers with each standing at...
